About Me
Hey, I’m Trevor, the creator behind RaconteurImagery, a Wisconsin-based photographer, storyteller, and hype-man for people who hate being in front of a camera.
I’m not here to manufacture a fake version of you. My whole philosophy is simple:
the best photos happen when you still look like you—on your very best day.
So here’s the real talk: I don’t make people thinner, taller, tanner, or give them Photoshop-model body parts. I’m not in the business of pretending. What I do is fix lighting, clean up temporary breakouts, adjust colors, smooth distractions, and bring out the version of you the people who love you already see every day.
Because the truth is, most of us are way harder on ourselves than anyone else ever is.
My job is to help you see yourself with the same kind, admiring eyes the rest of the world does.
What It’s Like to Work With Me
A typical shoot lasts about an hour, and we chase the best natural light, so please show up on time or we may literally miss the magic.
I’ll talk with you. Ask you questions. Learn a bit about what drives you. Not because I’m nosey, but because people photograph beautifully when they feel seen, not inspected.
You don’t have to know how to pose. I’ll guide you when needed, hype you up when it helps, and step back when you’re in your groove. If you ever need a breather, water break, confidence recharge, just say the word. This isn’t a runway. It’s a collaboration.
The Goal
Your comfort is the priority.
Your authenticity is the mission.
And the finished photos? They should feel like you, not a filtered stranger.
If that sounds like the kind of energy you want in front of a camera—
let’s make something real.
